FIFA in a statement have confirmed that Africa will be represented by four (4) clubs at the upcoming 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The decision was after FIFA announced last year December that a new 32-team men's Club World Cup will take place in June of 2025; a format which NPFL Updates in-house analyst Mr Bertrand is of the opinion will help an African team win the global title.

"With this new FIFA format, African clubs are now provided with an opportunity of winning the FIFA World Club Cup; one out of the four representing African teams will get the gold," he said Tuesday evening.

"By their antecedents, Enyimba FC is in the pole position to win the title; their Performances in world football is top notch, and is enviable.

"They're the best performing club from Nigeria, and even West Africa, and with what they have now and the direction coach Finidi George is heading towards, they'll deliver."

The format:

🄶Europe - 12 teams

🤸South America - 6 teams

šŸ„…North America - 4

šŸ’Asia - 4

šŸš¶šŸæā€ā™‚ļøAfrica - 4

šŸŽ¤Oceania - 1

šŸ–„ļøOne team from the host country.
